Peridia Golf and Country Club Founded in 1986, Peridia Golf and Country Club is the home of Manatee County's Premier Executive Golf Course. The Club was turned over to the members in 1990 and has been governed by the members since that time. Peridia is located on State Road 70, three miles west of Interstate 75 and includes 649 home sites and condominiums – nearly next door to Sabal Harbour! As a semi-private Club, non-members are encouraged to use the golf course and restaurant. Golf outings and special dining events are always welcome at The Terrace on the Green restaurant, a full service food and beverage facility. Peridia is a par 60, 3,344 yard course sitting on 60 acres of land. The greens were completely renovated in 2002 and meet the USGA specifications. Various golf events are welcome and can be arranged through their PGA professional. 4950 Peridia Boulevard E.
The River Club Golf and Country Club The River Club in Bradenton is a four star facility (Golf Digest Places to
Play) designed by Ron Garl. This is not your typical Florida layout - as the
front nine presents rolling fairways with plentiful mounding while the back nine
winds through wooded areas with undulating putting surfaces. This semi-private
club is open to the golfing public 7 days a week. As the slope ratings indicate
this is a course recommended for the serious golfer. The newly renovated (2005)
Jones dwarf greens provide a true and quick putting surface. The River Club also
boasts an excellent driving range. 6600 River Club Boulevard
The Preserve Golf Club at Tara The Preserve Golf Club at Tara is located just outside Bradenton and opened for play April, 2001. This Ted McAnlis designed course measures 7,000 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. This course has somewhat of a "linksy" feel and places a premium on club selection, accuracy, and above all strategy. It is paramount for golfers to choose the appropriate tees to suit their game. However, large landing areas and generally flat, moderate speed greens will favour high handicappers as well. Constructed over a large wetland area including approximately 52 lakes, water is always nearby and will directly affect play on 9 holes. As it meanders through the course, the cart path crosses 11 bridges. Walking is permitted, but not encouraged as the course is quite long. Although a semi-private facility, the course is open to public play for a slightly higher green fee, and guests of club members receive discounts of this fee. For current green fees contact the pro shop. 7310 Tara Preserve Ln
Legacy Legacy is an upscale, 18-hole championship daily fee course, different from anything found in the region. Offering a level of service and conditions found at world-class private facilities, this award-winning Arnold Palmer-designed course, managed by Troon Golf®, has quickly earned its reputation as one of the premier courses in Southwest Florida. The impeccable service makes it a local favourite for visitors and residents. The course features elevated multiple tees, and virtually every hole is framed with sand and water. What makes this course unique is the 360-foot wide fairways on all corridors making the look very dramatic and visually challenging while still approachable to all players. Legacy Golf Club has received great recognition and ratings from some of the major publications. Best Places to Play and 4 1/2 STARS from the readers' of Golf Digest 2004-2005.
